The Hawaiian Alaea (red sea salt from the island of Kauai) is ideal for steak and prime rib. It contains garlic, rosemary, bay leaf, black peppercorn and thyme. Besides using it as an excellent rub on meats, try it on fish, poultry, vegetables and salads. Sprinkle 1 tbs per lb of meat. Rub spice into meat. Add and rub into meat olive oil.
