Product Description
Bob's Red Mill Potato Starch can be used to replace cornstarch in most baking recipes. Potato starch powder tolerates higher temperatures than cornstarch, making it an excellent thickener for sauces, soups and stews. It adds moistness to any baked goods and is an essential ingredient in gluten free baking.
The potato starch itself is fine, but I found it clumps together sometimes when mixing. It took a little more effort to break it up than I expected. Still, it does the job for thickening sauces!
I bought Bob's Red Mill potato starch for my gluten-free baking experiments, and it worked wonders! The texture it adds to my recipes is fantastic. I love that it's 22 ounces, perfect for multiple batches!
