I was excited to try the Washoku Matsuo Nikomaru rice, but I found it to be clumpy and not as flavorful as I hoped. The packaging was a bit damaged when it arrived too. I expected better for the price. Not sure I’ll buy again.

Good quality but a bit pricey
This Japanese rice is really good and has a lovely texture. However, I do think it's a little on the expensive side for just 4.4 lbs. It’s great for special occasions, but I wouldn’t buy it all the time. Still, if you want the best, this is it!

Absolutely delicious rice!
I tried the Washoku Matsuo Nikomaru rice for the first time and I'm in love! The short-grain texture is perfect for sushi, and it cooks up so fluffy and fragrant. I appreciate that it’s born from Koshihikari; it really shows in the flavor. Will definitely buy again!

Tasty but arrived late
The rice itself is flavorful and cooks beautifully, but my order took longer than expected to arrive. I was really looking forward to trying it for a dinner party. In the end, it was worth the wait, but the shipping could definitely improve!
