PRODUCTS OF SUSTAINABLE FISHING AS do MAR only processes mature yellowfin tuna weighing at least 20 kg or spanning 1 metre in length, and skipjack tuna certified as caught via pole & line fishing. The company only uses Friend of the Sea certified fish. SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTS ALONG THE ENTIRE VALUE CHAIN AS do MAR management system is certified according to the SA8000 international standard, as its ethical-social performance and the one of all suppliers and partners is very important to the company. PRODUCTS THAT RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT AS do MAR places particular attention on the impact of the production processes on the environment, and has reduced processing scrap to zero, transforming it into fish flour used for animal husbandry and pet food. PRODUCTS THAT SUPPORT EMPLOYMENT AND THE LOCAL ECONOMY AS do MAR concentrates the entire tuna production cycle in Italy and the one of mackerel in Portugal, without relocating the more artisanal phases, in order to trigger a virtuous cycle in support of the local economy.
