Our Maple Sugar is made only from our Pure Organic Vermont Maple Syrup. Nothing else added, all natural. The process of making sugar involves taking finished maple syrup and boiling it down even further until it reaches about 256 degrees, then cooling and stirring as it crystallizes. After cooling we sift to remove larger granules. The maple syrup we use for this maple sugar is processed by us in the traditional way in small batches with utmost attention to quality and purity. We strive to boil the sap the same day it is collected and we use stainless steel tanks, fittings, pans, and utensils to produce the purest tasting maple syrup available. We manage our sugar maple forest for sustainability and conservation. Many of our trees are over 100 years old and we want to ensure they ll be around for another 100! This maple sugar is delicious and a healthy alternative to refined sugar and we are sure you will enjoy it.
