I've used barley before, but this Goya brand seems to take a bit longer to soften up. It tastes nice once it's done, but I had to adjust my cooking time. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind!

Decent but packaging could improve
The barley itself is good quality and nutritious, but the bag arrived a bit torn. It didn't spill, thankfully, but I feel like better packaging would help keep it fresh longer. Still, it works well in my dishes!
