Description

Experience the next level of fire safety with the Kidde Hardwired Smoke Detector, 10-Year Battery Backup, Interconnectable, LED Warning Light Indicators, 4 Pack, model 20SA10. This smoke detector has enhanced sensing technology that reduces false alarms often caused by cooking and sends fast alerts that help give your family more time to get out safely. Plus, it is interconnected so when one alarm sounds, they all do so you never miss an emergency (see user guide for compatibility with other Kidde models). This alarm offers a modern 5-inch design ideal for all living spaces such as living rooms, hallways, kitchens, & bedrooms. Comprehensively tested and designed to the latest UL standard for safety and reliability, the 5-inch smoke alarm is powered by 120V AC wiring with a 10-year built-in lithium battery, so you never have to change a battery for the life of the detector (not a battery performance claim). In addition, the detector is self-testing and easy to install with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket. Meets requirements of 9th Edition UL 217, FCC, and CSFM.

  • Q: How does the Kidde Hardwired Smoke Detector reduce false alarms? A: The Kidde Hardwired Smoke Detector utilizes enhanced sensing technology designed to minimize false alarms that are often triggered by cooking or other non-threatening sources. This advanced technology ensures that the detector accurately identifies smoke, providing reliable alerts when you need them most.
  • Q: Can multiple Kidde smoke detectors be interconnected? A: Yes, the Kidde Hardwired Smoke Detector features interconnect capability, meaning that when one alarm sounds, all interconnected alarms will sound as well. This ensures that you and your family can evacuate quickly in case of an emergency. Please refer to the user guide for compatibility with other Kidde models.
  • Q: How often should I test the Kidde smoke detector? A: It is recommended to perform a manual test of the Kidde smoke detector once a week to ensure it's functioning correctly. The smoke detector also features a self-testing function that regularly checks its internal components, but manual testing is important for comprehensive verification.
  • Q: What should I do if the smoke detector indicates an error with the LED lights? A: The Kidde smoke detector has three LED notifications: a green light indicates normal operation, an amber light signifies an operating error, and a red light means smoke has been detected. If the amber light is illuminated, you should consult the user guide for troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
  • Q: Is there a warranty for the Kidde Hardwired Smoke Detector? A: Yes, the Kidde Hardwired Smoke Detector comes with a 10-year limited warranty that begins when the alarm is powered on.
