If youve ever dreamed of making your own chai blends, this your chance. 100% of the tea in this pack come from our family owned tea estate, Chota Tingrai. Established in 1943, Chota Tingrai Tea Estate is located in the Tinsukia district of Assam. It currently spans 1400 acres, and is home to 376 families with a total population of 2200. Chota Tingrai Tea Estate manufactures Assam black teas, and Japanese-style green teas. In March 2017, Chota Tingrai Tea Estate teas won at the Global Tea Championship, being recognized as one of the best Assam teas in the world. With the help of Mana Organics, Chota Tingrai Tea Estate implements social projects in its worker community. We encourage a healthy, engaged and happy community. We ensure fair and equal opportunity to all and continue to improve our social welfare systems to create a progressive, self-sustaining, strong community. We nurture every plant with 100% organic compost made on the tea estate. We personally oversee the production of all our organic inputs. We use all the tea estates agricultural waste to create a closed loop system that maintains our natural resource balance. We plant green manuring plants to increase soil fertility. And we make several tons of vermi-compost annually to increase soil carbon content and microbial activity in the soil. All this reduces our impact the environment, preserves the soil for future generation, and improves the taste of our tea!
