Sal de Pompa uses pure wild Chiltepin chili, which is widely known as the Red Gold of Mexico because of its exotic, scarce and rare nature and its creamy flavor that adds an elegant spicy veil to any meal. This product is made with sea salt, and has no vinegars, artificial coloring or preservatives. From ages ago Mr. Ruelas, a.k.a. Pompa Ruelas, started a quest to find the perfect chili mix to use with his meals. After a long time and many trials he finally found Chiltepin and a Mexican sea salt very smooth in its taste. He saw this new mix respected the original taste of his favorite meals and just added that spicy kick he was looking for.
