Soft Dinner Rolls Recipe
Unpretentious All-Purpose Flour: 4 cups Water: 1 1/2 cup Active Dry Yeast: 2 teaspoons Brown Sugar: 3 Tablespoons Salt: 1 teaspoon Milk Powder: 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter: 1/4 cup melted
In the bowl of a stand mixer, add warm water, brown sugar, and yeast. Stir until the sugar and yeast are dissolved. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add flour, salt, milk powder, and butter. Using a dough hook, mix on low speed for 4 minutes. Turn speed up to medium and mix for 6-8 minutes. The dough should be smooth and pull away from the sides of the bowl. Transfer dough to a large bowl greased with oil. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size. Punch down dough and divide into 12 equal portions, about 2.5 oz each. Roll each piece of dough into a ball and place in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover loosely and let rise for one hour. Bake at 375°F for 18-20 minutes, or until evenly golden brown on top. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter while still hot.
