I was really looking forward to trying Zatarain's Gumbo File, but when I opened the package, it was clumpy and didn’t have much flavor. I ended up tossing it because it didn’t do anything for my gumbo. Won't be buying again.

Decent but could be fresher
I ordered Zatarain's Gumbo File and while the flavor was okay, I felt like it was a bit stale when it arrived. It still worked for my dish, but I expected a fresher taste. Packaging was fine, just wished the spice was a bit better.

Great flavor boost for my gumbo!
I used Zatarain's Gumbo File in a big pot of gumbo, and it really gave it that authentic taste. The 1.25 oz size was perfect for my recipe. I love how easy it is to sprinkle in, and a little goes a long way!
